PC Gaming Cases
What form factor is your motherboard? The first determination you should make is the form factor. We reviewed form factor when we discussed choosing a motherboard. Remember the choices are ATX and mATX. Many ATX cases will also support mATX motherboards. However, you can’t fit an ATX board into a mATX case. Be sure your choice in case accommodates your motherboard. If you are looking for small or portable you are going to want to check out mATX cases. If you go this route plan very carefully so as to avoid components that are too large to fit in the case. Read customer reviews as people will often post when they run into situations where their video card wouldn’t fit or a power supply was too large. Let other peoples mishaps save you a headache. Quality Matters for Computer Cases Too!Make sure you pick a quality manufacturer for your gaming case. I once bought a cheap no name case and it cost me more in Band-Aids to stop the bleeding from cuts and sharp corners than if I would have bought a quality case. You get what you pay for. If you pay $25 for a case, you are going to get a $25 case. Think about how much you paid for the components housed in that case. Do you really want a $25 case protecting your video card and CPU? I didn’t think so. You can find quality PC Gaming Cases at TigerDirect.com and Newegg.com. |
